Zamil

Zamil is Zaryab's childhood best friend and the most debated man in Dar-e-Nijaat. He turns religious, marries someone else in secret, and tells Zaryab he wants an obedient wife whose past is spotless.

Fans read him as the face of a double standard: he wants a 'pure' partner while expecting his own past to be forgotten. Nameer Khan himself called the character 'Zalim'.

Even so, viewers praise the performance, and the character works because he is so recognisable. He is confident and decisive, and he never chases anyone.
